Oversight.gov Redesign

Building a transparent, intuitive platform for public accountability and data access.

The US Postal Service Office of Inspector General was seeking to modernize and unify Oversight.gov, the central public repository for federal Inspector General reports. The project brought Oversight.gov, IGNet.gov, and an internal collaboration portal together into one human-centered platform for the public, journalists, researchers, and the IG community.

BLN24 started with a full content audit and audience analysis, then built personas, wireframes, task flows, and prototypes to shape a refreshed, accessible design that met federal compliance standards.

The team also delivered a secure internal environment for IG professionals, including a training registration portal and dedicated collaboration spaces for cross-agency committees. Usability testing with real users guided the final refinements.

The result is a single, accessible platform that gives the public streamlined access to thousands of Inspector General reports while strengthening CIGIE's transparency and accountability mission.
